Internship Program

Crist|Kolder Associates has welcomed two Research Analyst Interns every summer, and over winter break, since the inception of the Firm. We have come to count on their energy and creativity to bring new perspective on the topic of executive movement. Interns take with them a depth of experience in consulting and project management, an expanded, powerful, network, and also a tangible work product, referenced in major business publications, which can be shared with prospective employers.

Crist|Kolder Associates, located outside of Chicago, in Downers Grove, Illinois, is a boutique consulting firm focused, exclusively, on high-level executive recruitment. Typical projects for our firm include assisting clients in recruiting a Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, or Board Member. Our client portfolio is a diverse mix, including: Abercrombie & Fitch, Allstate, American Express, Bacardi, Delta Airlines, Dick's Sporting Goods, DirecTV, General Electric, Guitar Center, HP, Kraft, McDonald's, Polaris Industries, Wendy's, and Xerox.

In working with us, you will be exposed to a very professional, high-level consulting firm environment. We are a warm, fun, close-knit firm who leans on and trusts each other to perform our jobs beyond client expectations and who supports each other in continuing the success of our firm.

Interns have direct daily access and meaningful interaction with the principals of our firm, including our Chairman and President.

  • During the 12 week internship with the Firm, the Research Analyst’s primary focus will be to execute a major project, known as the Crist|Kolder Volatility Report. This annual research study examines the volatility of movement at the CEO, COO, and CFO levels of the top publicly traded companies in the United States. Each year, this report consistently garners press from such publications as The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Forbes, The Economist, and the Financial Times.
Research Analysts also work on direct client facing projects over the course of their internship, including analyzing industry trends and developing knowledge on specific companies and their leadership.

  • Our most successful interns have all had four competencies in common: a demonstrated record of academic achievement, exceptional analytical skills, a deep knowledge of Excel, and are fun to be around.

  • As a firm, we are devoted to recruiting executives at the highest levels. We are able to spot talent, including high-potential students for our Internship. Our Research Analysts have leveraged their experience with us directly into roles at Big 4 Accounting Firms, Investment Banks, and Major Corporations. Others have continued their educations and are now JDs and MBAs.

  • Research Analyst Interns are paid an attractive salary and have an opportunity to earn a generous bonus upon successful completion of the internship.

  • To be considered for our internship program, please review the full position specification and send your resume and cover letter to Josh Crist or Kristy Honiotes via the Contact Us page.
